IFSR Outstanding Achievement Certificate
For Local Rotary Clubs to Recognize Outstanding Achievement
Now we have a certificate that can be used for the Summit Award in the Scouting BSA's Venturing Program, the Spurgeon Award in Exploring, and the equivalent of Eagle Scout Award in other Scout and Guide Associations. The IFSR encourages Scouts and Girl Guides be recognized for outstanding achievement. For those situations, the IFSR has the IFSR Outstanding Achievement Certificate which may be presented by any Rotary Club to a Scout or Girl Guide who has demonstrated such outstanding achievement. The certificate may be given to any Scout or Girl Guide who has attained one of the pinnacles of Scouting.
To help Rotary Clubs create and print the certificate locally, this website has a fillable PDF version of the certificate which is easy to fill out:
1) Open the Certificate2) Enter the name of the Scout or Girl Guide3) Enter the name of the Rotary Club4) Enter the date of the presentation5) Then print the award or save and print at a print center. |
Certificate Presentation Programs
Rotary District 7510 has a program aimed at reaching Scouting units and Scouts in the five counties making up their district. The program centers on presenting certificates of accomplishment to young men who have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and young women who have earned the Gold Award – the highest rank in Girl Scouting.
Individual Boy Scout troops and Girl Scout troops can request a presentation of the IFSR recognition to their highest achievers, at a public ceremony. A Rotarian presenter attends their recognition ceremony and provides them with a two-minute talk on the bond between Rotary and Scouting, and includes the option for photo opportunities for publication in follow-up news releases.
Hal Daume created a form which can be filled out to request an Eagle Scout or Gold Award Certificate presentation. He also created a cover letter for the certificates and separate Eagle Scout and Gold Award presentation scripts. He offers these for other districts who can modify them for their own use.
